Screenshots, HTML to image and OG images, rendered in a real browser
Shotvik is an API that opens a web page or your own HTML in headless Chromium and sends back an image or a PDF.
Shotvik is in private beta. Request access: support@shotvik.com
What it does
URL to PNG, JPEG or PDF
Screenshot a public web page, including full-page captures, dark mode and ad or cookie-banner blocking.
Screenshot a URLOG images with full CSS
1200×630 Open Graph images from HTML templates: CSS grid, <style> blocks and web fonts work. Embed them with signed og:image links that never contain your API key.
How Shotvik handles your data
- Processing and storage in the EU. Rendering, the opt-in cache, the database, logs and backups run on Hetzner servers in Germany or Finland. API traffic goes straight to those servers, not through a CDN.
- No render storage by default. Renders are streamed back to you and not stored. Caching happens only when you ask for it, for example for public OG image links.
Honest rendering
Every request a render makes identifies itself with ShotvikBot in the User-Agent. There is no stealth mode, no captcha or bot-detection bypass, and no proxies. If a site blocks Shotvik, that's the site's choice. Site owners can read more on the ShotvikBot page.
